About the company and the project:

Product company with a team of 30+ highly qualified engineers, we aim to design, maintain and develop 4 products with millions of visitors which are a marketplace for users to buy and sell cars, real estate, general classifieds, and local employment.

 

 

  • English: the level of understanding technical texts, documentation and the ability to write/reply in the case of correspondence with the integration of services.
  • Client country: Ukraine, Poland, Azerbaijan.
  • Duration: long-term contract.
  • Schedule: flexible work schedule.

 

Skills:

  • Ruby, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Git,  Kanban,  HTTP protocol,  RSpec, RDBMS,  Security;
  • At least 3 years of Ruby on Rails commercial experience;
  • Database design experience;
  • Willingness to learn and a strong desire to develop additional skills;
  • Attentiveness;
  • Ability to meet deadlines.

 

Extra skills:

  • Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL;
  • Familiarity with CoffeeScript, ElasticSearch, Redis;
  • Proactivity.

 

What you should do on a project:

  • Add new functionality and maintain existing code in Ruby;
  • Develop new solutions;
  • Optimize the performance;
  • Interact with other engineers as well as project managers/product owners.

 

About the tracker and management tools:

We do NOT use time trackers in our work, we rely on the level of involvement of the candidate and the results of his work.

Stages of the interview:

  1. At the first stage, our HR manager together with technical specialist meets with the candidate and conducts the first meeting, where we ask basic technical questions to assess the level of the specialist;
  2. If he/she passes the first stage, then we hold a second meeting with the CTO and based on the results of this meeting we can make a decision regarding the candidate.
