Customer’s country — Sweden
We’re looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to become part of our core team. If you’re driven by code quality, smart product thinking, and working alongside experienced engineers — keep reading
Why you might want this job
- Work with experts, not egos: Our team of two developers and a hands-on CTO is highly experienced and humble. The codebase is clean, modern, and actively improved — minimal magic, and thoughtful structure.
- Real product impact: You’ll build features used by real customers — rate plans, billing systems, booking logic — and help shape them together with the team.
- High standards, humane pace: We move fast and build with care. No overtime. No fire drills. Just smart work and constant refinement.
- Remote-first, European hours: Fully remote with occasional in-person meetups. Async by default, with short social standups.
Tech stack
- Rails 8.0, Hotwire, Tailwind CSS
- Postgres, Redis, AWS
- Rubocop, Herb, Standard and more
- CI, test coverage, flexible TDD (we trust your judgment)
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain features like billing, bookings, point of sales
- Work across the stack — from Hotwire frontends to backend models
- Collaborate with UX (Figma) and QA
- Shape implementation and architecture
- Write readable and maintainable code
- Contribute to a thoughtful, high-trust environment
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of professional Rails experience
- Strong design judgment and pragmatic coding style
- Enjoys learning and helping others level up
- Experience with Hotwire/Tailwind is a plus (or willingness to learn)
- Bonus: experience with hospitality, bookings, or billing
What we’re not looking for
- Frequent job hopping without good reasons
- Big egos or unkind collaborators
- Developers who don’t care about long-term maintainability
- No overtime
- Social offsites 1–2 times per year
- Competitive salary based on experience and location
- Flexible schedule and full trust
